Garlic Lemon Shrimp

Fabulous tangy flavourful shrimps that will make your mouth water. Perfect weeknight meal

• 1/2 Kg (1 lb) large shrimps, peeled, cleaned and deveined
• 1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup, 50 gr), cut into pieces
• 6-7 garlic cloves, pressed
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
• a handful of coriander or parsley, chopped
• 3 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1-2 tablespoons water


• In a large skillet over high heat, place half of the butter, and let it melt
• Add the shrimps and cook for 2 minutes on each side
• Add the garlic, the chopped coriander, the salt, pepper, and chili flakes
• Toss around for 2-3 minutes, always on high heat
• Stir in the lemon juice, the rest of the butter, and the water
• When the butter melts, turn the heat down to low and simmer for 2 minutes
• Serve immediately, over rice, noodles, bread, or alone
